
David Geselbracht
David is a lawyer and writer whose stories focus on climate change at the intersection of science, policy and culture. His writing has been published in Canadian Geographic, The Globe and Mail and Broadview Magazine, among others. His longform stories can be found below.

He is the author of Climate Hope: Stories of Action in an Age of Global Crisis, published by Douglas & McIntyre in October 2024. It reached the BC Bestsellers list, and you can find out more about the book here.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography from the University of Victoria; a Master of Journalism from the University of British Columbia; and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law.

He works as the legal counsel for a national environmental NGO, and started his legal career working for Access Pro Bono BC's Everyone Legal Clinic, providing affordable and inclusive legal services to lower income clients.​​
